Teachers will love the fact that we pay close attention to our NY state learning standards when creating each of the educational stations for our field trips. Our tours are lead by experienced, trained guides who are excited about sharing their enthusiasm for agriculture with your group.

We host school field trips from September through October each year by reservation only. Field Trip sessions are about 90 minutes in length for grades PreK-2nd and two hours for grades 3rd-6th. We have 6 time slots, starting at 9am, available daily, Monday through Friday of each week.

Grades PreK-2nd: Play, Grow and Learn

Field Trip activities:
Take a hayride to orchard to pick apples
Play Grocery Bag Botany - a game for learning parts of edible plants
Find the right path through the mini-corn maze
Feed farm animals (food provided)

Even more farm fun:
Trike track, giant slide, fish feeding pond. The Kids Corral includes sandbox, stationary tractor, tire caterpillar, cornstalk teepee and more!

Grades 3rd-6th: Corn Maze Challenge and Team Building Adventure

Field Trip activities:
Take a country hayride around the farm

Amazing fun and learning in the corn maze is a special part of our Field Trips. Maze "Stalk Talk" includes such topics as how a maze is created, the science of growing corn, and mapping skills required to navigate the 4 acre field of corn. We have checkpoint stations within the maze that highlight the benefits of farming to our communities.

Even more farm fun:
Venture along an "Eco-trail" with woodland, pond and wetlands
Harvest apples from our orchard and/or pick pumpkins
Enjoy feeding farm animals, a fishing dock at the pond, and giant slide.

Additionally, we will compile a library of teaching resources on apples, pumpkins, farm animals and agriculture in general.

We have a lovely tented picnic area available to students, teachers and their guests. You may bring your own lunch or purchase snacks at our concession.
