Fall Field Trips
Mondays-Fridays in Septembers & October
not including Columbus Day or Other School Holidays
For over 20 years, we've hosted educational...and fun...school field trips. We love connecting children with the outdoor classroom. Our tours are lead by experienced, trained guides who are excited about sharing their enthusiasm for agriculture with your group.
Please allow two hours for your outing which includes 1 hour for activities, 30 minutes for apple picking and 30 min for lunch. We have 2 time slots each day available during the week 9:30 and 11:30.
Reservations Required (select your date below).
$12 Student Price Includes:
Harvest Your Own ½ Peck of Apples (~ 10 to 15 apples)
OR Sugar Pie Pumpkin (~ 5lbs)
Wild Apple Obstacle Course
ABC's of Agriculture Activity
Rubber Duck Derby
Feeding the Farm Animals
Educational Nature Trail
Full use of Covered Picnic Pavilion (or private tent)
Integrated Lesson Available on Request
Pix 11 names Hurds Family Farm the best place for apple and pumpkin picking in the tri-state area
Extra Fun for Groups at the Farm must be included in finalization of reservation
Each $3 More Per Student:
Pick a Sugar Pie Pumpkin (approx ~ 5lb) from Our Patch
Cup of Cider and a Fresh Cider Donut
Full Peck of Apples instead of 1/2 Peck $5 more per student
Half bushel of Apples instead of 1/2 Peck $13 more per student
Please Note: Groups under 25 students may require additional fees.
To receive field trip price of $12 per student there is a minimum requirement of 10 students.

ALL Farm Hands (Any Grades) Welcome
One Chaperone (Teacher or Parent) gets FREE activities with each 8 students that come for a field trip.
Additional Chaperones pay $3 each for activities.
All Chaperones (teachers and parents) pay separately for apple picking bags.
