A warm welcome to your family from our family. You are the players and we’ve been busy creating the stage for your family’s magical moments! We hope you will build bonds that will last a lifetime. Celebrating connections, many of our enthusiastic Team enjoyed engaging in all the outdoor activities with their families and are back to make sure other families have the same great experience at Hurds. Play, Explore, Discover. join the many families, school, churches and youth groups who visit every year for intergenerational fun.
Celebrating over 25 years of amazing family festivals, 125 years farming, and our family tree keeps growing!
Our newest apple, Hudson Hurd, born Dec. 11, 2021, joins a crew of sisters and cousins, Jurni Abigail, 18, Cortlyn, 6, Scarlett, 6, and Suzanna, 3. Charles and Sarah keep very active as our overall Farm Manager Imagineers. Charles and his capable crew oversee the care of the orchard plantings and growing those delicious crisp, juicy apples you love harvesting. You’ll notice exciting renovations in our Historic Dutch barn this season. Proactive planners, Sarah and Charles, brainstorm, design and set up, many of the farm’s NEW creative activities. Sarah coaches our team, directs the action, and your family makes it all happen! Grandpa Phil is the farm’s chief Project Engineer and visionary. He helps us brainstorm and build many of your favorite activities throughout the fields; however, he prefers to work behind the scene. Visionary, Grandma Susan is Director of Beauty & Fun, enjoys people, and she helps mentor the team. Daughter Megan is our family artista, and designs our 4-acre cornmaze and lends a hand with social media and many creative visuals out in the fields. Megan and her girls, Scarlett, 6, and Suzanna, 3, live in Maryland, and we eagerly look forward to their visits. We’ll keep you posted of Happenings on Fb. Our farm is all about kids and families.
