Positions include managers, supervisors, cashiers, cooks, Bartenders, tractor drivers, activity supervisors, and parking attendants. Learn new skills on the job. Must enjoy working outdoors.

Most positions will start late August and end late October.

Daytime Bartender $15.50-$20 per hour based on experience

Serve NY Craft beverages to happy guests. Must be 18 years or older. Flexible hours and schedule Friday - Sunday. Experience is a plus, but not required we will train you on the job. Enjoy fresh air and some time in our historic barn.

Tractor Driver $15.50-$25 per hour based on experience

During the fall at Hurds Family Farm, we have hayrides  cow trains and bin trains; Our customers trust our tractor drivers to give their family a fun & safe farm experience. Remaining alm under the pressure of long lines is very important. Must have a valid NYS driver's license. Experience not required, but general mechanical and/or farm equipment knowledge is a real plus. We offer flexible part-time hours in September and October.

Cashier $15.50-$20 per hour based on experience

Hurds Family Farm cashiers must be able to remain calm under the pressure of long lines and be able to direct customers to their optimal pick-your-own experience. Cashiers will be required to know basic information about the activities that we offer and the pick-your-own items available. Being able to use a Square pos system and count back change is a must. No experience needed, but some retail cashier experience is a plus. We offer flexible part-time hours in September and October.

Parking and Activity Attendants $15.50-$18 per hour based on experience

Hurds Family Farm offers a variety of agrtainment activities during our fall season. Some of the activities that need to be monitored are the bouncy pillow, corn maze, giant slide, and obstacle course. We also need to make sure that all cars are parked efficiently and quickly. Guest safety is our number one concern. You must be able to communicate clearly with customers and be able to direct them to different locations on the farm. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves being outdoors in September and October.

Donut Maker/Cook $15.50-$20 per hour based on experience

Cider donuts are a highlight of the fall season at Hurds Family Farm, made fresh daily in our dedicated donut kitchen. Our Barn Café also serves simple hot and cold food items. We're looking for friendly, fast-paced team members with the ability to work in tight spaces with others, stay calm under pressure, and keep things clean and efficient. No experience needed—just a great attitude and a love for food. Part-time shifts available in September and October.

School Group Assistant $15.50-$20 per hour based on experience

Hurds Family Farm is located on State Route 32 just south of SUNY New Paltz. When school groups visit us in the fall, we provide a lesson about the apples, pumpkins, or other parts of the environment on our pick-your-own farm. This could be a great opportunity for college students enrolled in an education program to gain experience working with students and/or possibly creating common core aligned lessons. No formal education is required; anyone who enjoys working with children would love to spend time with the students that visit us in the fall. We offer flexible part-time hours in September and October. When not delivering lessons to students, you would be working in one of the other positions on our farm, like cashier, making donuts, or monitoring an activity.
