Healthy Apple Tree Workshop

Do you have an apple tree in your yard and wonder what can I do to help ensure my crop does not get a disease or be damaged by bad bugs?

Come to the farm for this workshop with lead grower and owner Charles Hurd to learn about some of the scouting you should be doing, and what you can do if you see a problem. Learn how to prevent and treat some of the most common pests that can affect the health of your home apple trees.

Join Ms. Sarah for a hopping good time! Let’s learn and play together as we explore the world of bunnies. Themed age-appropriate hands-on activities for kids. A chance to visit with a real bunny. ​

All class participants can play after class on a few of our most popular farm activities.​

Apple Tree Growing Workshop

Take home and grow your own apple trees in your backyard, or come to learn more about growing apple trees you already have.

 

Learn some expert planting tips to increase your chances of having a bountiful apple harvest.

 

The workshop includes hands-on activities and an opportunity to ask our lead grower, Charles Hurd, questions about your specific growing conditions.

Spring has sprung at the farm! Join Ms. Sarah to dig into the fun as we plant some seeds and memories together. Learn about what the farmers are doing to get ready for blossoms, summer, and fall at the farm. Includes potted seeds to take home.

Apple Tree Trimming Workshop

Apple trees need care year-round, and good pruning is key to healthy trees and great harvests.

 

At this workshop, Charles Hurd will demonstrate how he uses a variety of his favorite pruning tools on different types of apple trees, while sharing practical tips you can use at home.

 

We will discuss seasonal pruning, best practices, and how to use pruning as a natural way to increase apple growth and production.
