Warm and breezy is a nice change from the rain we have been having. Happy to see some of this mud drying up, but more rain expected tomorrow. Rain or shine the best place to have a birthday party in September and October is right here at Hurds Family Farm. Kids will have so much fun they will wish that the party never ends. Adults can join in the fun or relax at one of our centrally located tents.

There are 2 locations to party at the farm in the fall. Both are located right in the middle of all the kids activity fun! The standard tent holds around 48 people and the large tent at least 60. The gray plastic picnic tables will go nicely with any decorations you choose. The standard tent is $100 and the large tent is $150. Each is reserved for a 2 hour time slot plus 30 min before and after for setup and clean up.
Unlimited party options to choose from! Option 1 rent the tent and add on our farm birthday package with plenty of ways to customize your event. This includes a team member to work with you starting 30 min before your party and ending 30 min after. Option 2 rent the tent and pay for activities, apple picking, donuts and drinks separately.

Frequently asked questions….
Can we bring in the our own food and drinks?
Yes. We do have a farm to table cafe that can help cater your event or you can order locally from one of our neighbors. 2 great pizza restaurants will deliver right to your tent. Paesano's is right down the road and Pasquales is in Gardiner just a few minutes away. You can also bring any other food you want, but here is no grilling allowed on property.
Can I hire a DJ?
No. The open outdoor country environment at the farm is enjoyed by all of our visitors. We do have special events that include live music, but we are very selective to make sure that the music fits with our farm’s values.
Do adults need activity wristbands?
If adults want to participate in activities like the hayride and corn maze we recommend the express wristband, all other activities you can watch your children participate in. Many farm parties skip those two activities because they are having so much fun with all the other activities right near the party tents there is just not enough time. Kids under 3 are FREE but if they are too small to go on rides or other activities alone they need to be accompanied by an adult or older child with a VIP wristband. Adults and older children will love the apple launcher, obstacle course, and bounce pillow which are all VIP activities. Grandmas love taking their grandkids on the cow train.
What time can I come to start setting up?
You are welcome to come 30 min before your tent rental time. You can check with us closer to the date of your party to see if you can come a bit earlier. There are no cars allowed in the party tent area, but we will get you as close as possible to unload your party supplies.
Does the tent come with any decorations?
No. You supply any tablecloths, balloons, centerpieces, cups and utensils. We supply the tent tables and FUN. If you are really interested in having us take care of the decorations please email us to work with one of our event planners. This would be a custom request, so pricing will vary.
We are happy to help you schedule your party. Please e-mail us or call to reserve your date. There is a $50 deposit that is non-refundable within 2 weeks of the party date. You can also have a party at the farm in Spring and Summer. Prices and included activities vary, please contact us for more information.
