The Fall Festival

What is a fall festival?

Fall festivals are a celebration of the changing of the seasons. It is a place where people can gather together and enjoy the changing leaves and cooler weather. There are many different types of festivities throughout the country, but Hudson Valley NY has some of the best. Most fall festivals include food, activities, and live entertainment. Our Fall Festival is really all season long, but the peak is definitely Columbus weekend!

At our Columbus Weekend Fall Festival you can pick your own apples and pumpkins which happens ONLY in the fall. Hot apple cider and cider donuts are also exclusive to the fall season in New York. Hurds Family Farm is passionate about creating outdoor engaging family friendly activities that encourage people to embrace some time in farm country. It is really not a fall festival without a hayride and cornmaze, but at Hurds you must add to the list cow train and apple launcher. We offer a good selection of seasonal farm to table goods, most of which include our homegrown fruit and all are local to the area. Throughout the season we have special events and FREE live music.

This Sunday 1-3PM Hudson Valley Bluegrass Express will be back to play some foot stomping fresh air music.

If you have never gone out to a fall festival give it a try this year. It may become a new tradition for your family. Visit Our Family Blog for Insider Tips for coming out to the fall festival on Columbus Weekend.
